Job Opportunity: Armed Reaction Officer – PRSS Security Services (Lyttelton, Centurion)

Position: Armed Reaction Officer

Minimum Requirements:

✅ PSIRA Registration – Grade A (minimum) with Armed Reaction certification.
✅ Firearm Competency – Business Purposes for Handgun and Shotgun (must be valid).
✅ Valid Driver’s License – Must be able to operate security vehicles safely.
✅ Criminal Record – Must have a clean criminal record (background checks will be conducted).
✅ Experience – A minimum of 3 years working as an Armed Reaction Officer in a security environment.
✅ Shift Work – Must be willing and able to work rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
✅ Language Skills – Must be bilingual (English & Afrikaans) to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
✅ References – Must provide traceable references from previous employers.
✅ Own Transport – Must have reliable transport to and from work.
✅ Residency – Candidates must reside in the Centurion area (office is based in Lyttelton).

Key Responsibilities:

🔹 Rapid Armed Response – React swiftly and efficiently to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies.
🔹 Patrolling & Surveillance – Conduct proactive patrols in designated areas to deter criminal activity.
🔹 Client Interaction – Maintain professional communication with clients and stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction.
🔹 Incident Reporting – Complete detailed and accurate reports on security incidents, threats, and responses.
🔹 Adherence to Security Protocols – Follow company and legal security procedures to maintain high operational standards.
