Position Overview  

As Regional Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and performance of our security services across Johannesburg and Tshwane. This role demands a high level of leadership and strategic thinking, as you’ll be driving operational efficiency, maintaining service standards, and fostering strong relationships with both clients and your team.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Operations Leadership: 

• - Develop and execute strategies to ensure seamless regional operations aligned with Mantis’s goals.  
• - Drive operational excellence, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.  
• - Act as the main point of contact for clients, managing relationships and ensuring their satisfaction.  
• Team Leadership and Development:  
• - Lead and mentor a team of area managers, supervisors, and security personnel.  
• - Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, fostering teamwork, open communication, and professional growth.  

Client Relations and Business Development:

• - Build and nurture strong client relationships, promptly addressing concerns and ensuring service excellence.  
• - Conduct regular site visits to assess client satisfaction and identify areas for growth.  
• - Represent Mantis professionally to strengthen the brand and identify new business opportunities.

Financial Management:

• - Oversee budgeting, cost control, and financial performance across regional operations.  
• - Collaborate with finance teams to ensure accurate invoicing, reporting, and adherence to financial deadlines.
• Compliance & Risk Management:
• - Ensure full compliance with security industry regulations, health & safety standards, and Mantis’s internal policies.  
• - Conduct regular risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to minimize security and safety risks.

Operational Reporting & Analysis:

• - Prepare detailed operational reports and performance analysis for senior management.  
• - Regularly review performance metrics, client feedback, and KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement.  
• Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
• - Identify and implement new technologies and processes to improve operational efficiency and service delivery.  
• - Stay informed on industry trends and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications

• - Grade 12 (Matric) 
• - PSIRA Grade A Registration (Essential)
• - Code B Driver's Licence (Essential)
• - Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Security Management, or related field
• Certifications (Preferred):
• - Certified Security Management Professional (CSMP) or equivalent  
• - First Aid and CPR Certification  
• - Health & Safety Management Certification  
• - Knowledge of scheduling tools (e.g., Easy Roster)

Experience:

• - At least 10 years of senior operations or management experience within the security industry.  
• - Proven track record in managing large teams and multi-site operations.  
• - Experience in client relationship management and business development.  
• - Strong understanding of compliance, health & safety regulations, and industry standards.

• - Strong adaptability, resourcefulness, and problem-solving skills.  
• - Advanced incident investigation and report writing abilities.  
• - Financial management and budgeting expertise.

• - Proficiency in security management software and technologies.
