Position Details
- Salary: R444,036 per annum (Level 09), excluding service benefits.
- Location: Pretoria
Minimum Requirements
- A recognized B Degree or National Diploma (NQF6) in Transport Management or an equivalent qualification.
- 3-5 years of supervisory-level experience in transport management within the Public Sector.
- Knowledge of Treasury Regulations, National Road and Traffic Management prescripts, financial and transport management policies, and government processes.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications and standard packages.
- Valid Driver’s License.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct weekly inspections of departmental vehicles.
- Receive transport requests and allocate them to Transport Officers.
- Manage shuttle and delivery requests, assigning them to drivers.
- Develop and distribute weekly driver trip schedules.
- Compile detailed fleet analysis and transport-related reports.
- Monitor the fleet management system and generate exception reports.
- Follow up on after-hours authorizations for vehicle use.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of departmental vehicles.
- Process transport-related invoices, including fuel and oil costs.
- Ensure timely payment of all transport invoices, adhering to the 30-day payment policy.
- Scrutinize requests and verify claims for subsidized vehicles.
- Compile and analyse vehicle usage reports, including 70/30 split usage data for management review.
- Draft and issue communication related to vehicle usage to relevant line managers.
